Discussing Alone With Everyone on South East Radio.

Last Thursday (June 4th), I joined Alan Corcoran on The Morning Mix on South East Radio to talk about my new book, Alone With Everyone. It was an opportunity to introduce the project to listeners across the South East and to outline the themes that shaped the work.

A Focused Conversation About the Book

During the interview, Alan and I discussed the ideas behind Alone With Everyone. I discussed the importance of street photography as a practice and its role in documenting and preserving the world as it is now, and how transition will give these images value.

We also discussed the title of the book, and how it was inspired by the poem by Charles Bukowski, which evaluated the sense of isolation people felt in the 1960s, which is now amplified by the world due to the way we have used our devices to build barriers between us and the world around us, whether digitally or in real life.

For Those Who Missed It

Looking Ahead

While I enjoyed putting this book together, I also continue to offer compelling images for people looking to use photography to promote their brand or business. For me, the whole process is holistic and while some view photography merely as a trade to make money. For me, it is an artistic practice which enables me to tell stories and captivate viewers. It is this philosophy that I also bring to my professional photography.

The conversation on South East Radio marked an important step in introducing the work to a wider audience, and I appreciate everyone who tuned in.
